how to connect my iphone to my projector

The iPhone is a powerful device, but often it's not enough. For most people, the most compelling reason to use an iPhone projector is for gaming purposes. Playing a game on a large screen is not only easier on the eyes but also more immersive.

If you're just using your phone as a display then unless you have an iPad or other tablet, you'll need to buy a projector that can project your display onto a surface which is typically about 120 inches in size.

That means you'll need at least 720p resolution for best results with minimal pixelation and lag/delay from what's going on in the game as well as from what's going on with video conferencing apps like FaceTime or Skype.

But what if you just want to put your iPhone in a public place so you can use your phone as a speakerphone for FaceTime calls? Okay, that's something that can be done through an app like Anywhere.

But how about using your iPhone as a remote control? That too would work, but again you'd have to buy a projection solution if you wanted something more than the projector on the back of your tv.

Well, there might be another way to get all of this and more at once.

Enter the $149 iRig Mic. It'll work with all iPhones via the Lightning cable that comes with it.

Unlike the Anywhere app, this device connects directly to an iPhone and does not require an iPad or any other device.

It'll play any movie, music or TV show you want it to play on your iPhone in 1080p and 5.1 surround sound.

The mic itself on the other hand is not capable of recording in surround sound so you'd have to either use a Lightning to 3.5mm cable to connect the mic's output to another device or, if you already have a 3.5mm to 1/4-inch adapter, use that for better quality and for recording purposes.

The iRig Mic does not work with any iPhone other than the iPhone itself and therefore should be used only when on an iPhone.

There are obviously benefits to using your own music and audio rather than just using an app that comes with your phone, but if that's all you're getting out of these benefits then this might not be all that important.

Once you're plugged in, the iRig Mic will give you access to specific functions on your iPhone that you couldn't otherwise access. For example, according to the app, there's a way to pair your iPhone with an AUX input on the iRig Mic.

You can also use the mic with your iPhone as a remote control for apps like Netflix or YouTube. You could even hook it up via Bluetooth and use it as a remote for other devices like an iPod or iTunes anyway.

The iRig Mic also includes an integrated speaker so you can play audio from your phone through it. It's also got a function which allows it to act as a preset 4-channel mixer. You could plug in two external microphones and two external instruments and use it to record all four of them at once using the built-in mic for control and input.

The iRig Mic is the perfect way for anyone who wants to play their entire library through their iPhone to do just that. It's also the perfect way for a musician to produce quality audio from their iPhone as well as from other devices or even from dedicated instruments.
